Dear Sirs

CALA Homes scheme works

I am writing to express our concern at the proposed Scheme of Works recently submitted by CALA Homes regarding the intended use of York Road.

The Meeting Room at 41 York Road is a Listed Building and the expense of maintaining the property in the responsibility of the Trustees. We are concerned about the impact that the proposed scheme will have on the fabric of the building as a result of increased vibration due to passing works traffic. Also, the use of heavy machinery may have an impact on the stability of the ground and the cellar and foundations could be affected. In addition, the proposed closure of York Road will have a disruptive effect on use of the Meeting Room, particularly in gaining access to and exit from the car park.

Yours faithfully
On behalf the Trustees

Objections to CALA Homes' Second Scheme of Works for the Telephone House Development

Is CALA really going ahead with THAT scheme?
