January 2003 - There was once a group of TREES (10) on Telephone House site between Trinity House and No. 27 York Road :
4 Sorbus Aria (White Beam), 3 Acer Platanoides Atropurpureum (Maple), 3 Juglan (Walnut).

In autumn 2000, when residents applied for Tree Preservation Orders, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (tree officer Daniel Docker) did not consider that this would be warranted.
In spring 2003, TWBC planning and building control services (landscaping officer David Scully) inform residents that
the replacement for the 10 felled trees, including four 21 year old mature Sorbus Aria, will be four Sorbus Aucuparia.

Is CALA Homes really going ahead with THAT scheme?

The Telephone House Neighbours Association informs on CALA Homes (South) Development:
CALA Group acquired the controversial planning permission for the high density development of Telephone House site, Church Road / York Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1, Kent.
