Dear Ms Quinnell

Telephone House, Tunbridge Wells

I refer to your recent letter of 31st January addressed to Southgate Developments, the former owners of this property.

Firstly, you will note that I am writing on behalf of Telereal who acquired the entire BT Property Portfolio in December 2001. For your information, Telereal is a joint venture between Land Securities Trillium and William Pears.

Between BT vacating this property in October 1999 and November 2001, this property was prone to continuing break-ins and vandalism. On a number of occasions, Southgate Developments had to make the building secure and on at least two occasions the car park area was cleared of all debris. Given the ongoing problems, Crest Homes, in conjunction with Southgate Developments endeavoured to make the site more secure in October 2001, when hoardings were erected between Telephone House and Hanover House. You will appreciate that it is extremely difficult to secure the York Road frontage.

It would appear from your letter that the management problems on site are continuing, therefore can I suggest that you liase with Ken Munday of Crest Homes (01959 564282) in the first instance as they now own this site. (as of November 2001).

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any clarification of the foregoing.

Yours sincerely
Mark Kelly MRICS BSc (Hons)

Duncan Haynes - Environmental Services, TWBC
Ken Munday - Crest Homes
