Dear Sir,

Re: Telephone House Church Road / York Road

With reference to my letter of 31st January 2002 to which I received no reply, the car park site overlooked by those of us in York Road, is still an unsightly mess.

Two vans were seen on the site on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (8th - 10th March), for what purpose remains unclear, but the gates have since been left wide open.
- Is this an invitation to residents to clear up, as suggested in my previous letter, and / or
- for residents to park in this area, to relieve the congestion in York Road?
- Or is this a forewarning of the demolition to come?

We have been in contact with TWBC's Environmental Services for information regarding the presence of hazardous materials in the Telephone House building.
It would be much appreciated if you would inform us if an environmental survey has been carried out, and if so, please forward us a copy.

Yours sincerely

Katherine Quinnell
