Gridlock is caused by traffic from Monson Road and York Road.
Drivers from York Road turning right into the middle of Mount Pleasant Road, prevent buses from leaving the bus-stop and slow down uphill traffic.
There is a restriction during the hours of 10am - 4pm, Monday to Saturday, limiting through traffic, ie Buses, Taxis only. This is never upheld.

It is not unusual to have several buses driving off from this point, delaying an exit from York Road
